Furry Friends with Soline, the dog!

Soline is a goofy and energetic puppy looking for a family with high energy to match. She's available for adoption at the PSPCA Lancaster Center.

LANCASTER, Pa. — This week’s Furry Friend is Soline, brought to us by the PSPCA Lancaster Center. She’s a 9-month-old puppy who has been at the shelter for a few months after being found as a stray.

“She’s very affectionate and very eager to meet new people," said Tyler Lee, site lead at the shelter. "She’s definitely a very people-oriented dog. Probably her only main restriction is that she doesn’t get along with other dogs so she does need to be the only dog in the household.”

Lee says that while Soline doesn’t do well with other dogs, she could do well in a house with older kids to run around with. The shelter is hoping her family has experience with higher energy dogs.

“Ideally people that kind of know how to handle a stronger dog and know how to handle a dog that has a lot of energy and have the time to be able to work on her training and kind of help her be her best self," said Lee.

As long as you have treats, Soline is eager to learn. She already knows sit and shake. The shelter is also working on her reactivity with other passing dogs.

“She is very smart," Lee told FOX43. "She loves working, loves training, loves getting treats. And she also loves running around in the play yard being silly.”

One of her favorite toys to play with are tennis balls. She loves to play fetch.

Lee is hoping that Soline finds her forever family soon so that she doesn’t have to fully grow up in the shelter.

If you’re interested in adopting Soline, the PSPCA Lancaster Center is open every day from noon to 6 p.m. for you to drop in and meet her. You can learn more about how to adopt Soline on their website
