NEW FREEDOM, Pa. — Train lovers can take a ride through history this weekend.
A rare 1928 steam locomotive will be taking guests on the Northern Central Railway (NCR) of York from the New Freedom Station to Glen Rock and back.
For the first time ever, NCR will offer guests the opportunity to climb aboard the steam engine and ride in the cab with the train engineers. Guests who ride in the cab will get a front row view during the excursion to learn more about the train and how it operates.
The train will run on Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16.
