WeeUsables Pop-Up Consignment returns with new high school student partnership

WeeUsables Pop Up Consignment is back at Spooky Nook Sports for their spring event.

MANHEIM, Pa. — WeeUsables Pop Up Consignment is back at Spooky Nook Sports in Manheim for their spring event.

Entering into their 15th year, this year's pop up consignment is the biggest one yet. Lori Hartmann-Borris says that the mission of WeeUsable Pop Up Consignment is to help families make ends meet by providing affordable, gently used clothing to sell or buy.

“For any parents who’s looked at those gifts that they got at a baby shower or for kids birthdays that are never used…this allows them to sell those items for fractions of what you would purchase them for at retail,” said Hartmann-Borris.

WeeUsables is an independently owned organization that provides children's necessities like clothes, toys, books, baby gear, shoes and more to needy families. Organizers say it’s the area's oldest and largest event.  Families from the area can consign their items to make a profit while offering a discounted price compared to franchises.

“It saves the parents who are looking for those items so much money, but it also gives those families who are consigning a few extra bucks that they could use for the next size for their kids, or maybe to save for braces or a family trip--it’s a win-win for families on both sides,” said Hartmann-Borris.

WeeUsables is partnering with IU13, a local school job training program, this year. The partnership aims to provide valuable job training opportunities for high school students while contributing to the success and vibrancy of the local community.

"This collaboration not only enhances the learning experiences for these talented students but also reinforces our commitment to community engagement and sustainability," said Hartmann-Borris.

Today, WeeUsables Pop-Up Consigment shop opens for presales, but the event runs until Friday, March 16. Shoppers are encouraged to bring their own bags, and everyone--including children and strollers--are welcome to shop. Scheduling and details can be found below.
