Ski resorts switch to summer mode with warm weather events

Liberty Mountain Resort has a ton of great things to do while you wait for winter to return.

ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. — It's summer, it's warm, it's not exactly ski season--but ski resorts don't just sit empty in the summer months.

Liberty Mountain Resort, in Carrol Valley, Adams County, has a ton of great things to do until winter returns.

On June 8, it will be hosting the Liberty Mountain Wine Festival. You'll be able to sample wines from 12 different Pennsylvania wineries. There will also be food and live entertainment. There are multiple ticket options from designated driver tickets to VIP options.

Throughout the summer, the resort also offers free music every Wednesday.

"Clearly we love live music here at Liberty Mountain," said Liberty Mountain general manager Chris Blackwell. "Every Wednesday we have Music on the Mountain, which is local artists. Again, we're gonna have food. We're gonna have drink. It's a great place."

They also have a 4th of July Celebration and golf all summer long.

While winter--and snow sports--may be months away, it's never too early to start planning a ski trip with passes for next season now on sale

"Summer may be approaching, but we are always thinking about winter here at Liberty Mountain," said Blackwell.
