Tons of trick-or-treaters drawn to York County haunted home

In only their second year of the light show, the family says they went through 400 hotdogs, 50 gallons of lemonade and over 100 pounds of candy!

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — A York City police officer and his family put on a memorable Halloween light show and haunted attraction for Halloween.

With lights, smoke and plenty of candy, TJ Platts turned his home in Spring Garden Township into a Halloween fright fest.

In just their second year of the light show, the family says they went through 400 hotdogs, 50 gallons of lemonade and over 100 pounds of candy!

TJ told FOX43 how he wanted to make his house the place to be on Halloween.

"I thought let's make this the house to be at. Let's make it a fun place, make it safe and I think it's been pretty fun," he explained. "We've [had] a lot of people show up tonight."

The Platts plan to make the display bigger and better next year and invite anyone in the community to stop by to share in the frightful night.
