CARLISLE, Pa. — Yak n Yeti, a Nepalese restaurant in Carlisle, announced that it will close its doors on Dec. 29.
The restaurant posted about making the tough decision to close after serving the Carlisle community for the past six years on Facebook.
"This year holds a special place in our hearts at Yak n Yeti as we reflect on the past six years of sharing our beloved cuisine with this amazing community," said the restaurant. "We are deeply grateful to all of our customers, near and far, whose support and enthusiasm have helped turn our dream into a reality."
The establishment explained that this was a bittersweet decision and one that it "didn't make lightly."
"We are also profoundly thankful for our incredible staff," read the post. "Their dedication and hard work, especially through transitions, challenges and growth have been the backbone of our success. Over the years, they've become more than just colleagues-they've become family. We wouldn't be where we are without them."
Yak n Yeti's Lancaster City location, Norbu, located at 38 N Christian St., will continue serving the Lancaster community.
