DOVER, Pa. — The Dover Area Community Library began its book and plant sale this Thursday.
The sale is being held in Brookside Park.
Items for sale included books, plants, DVDs, cassettes, puzzles and baked goods. There was also a raffle for children and a raffle for all ages. The money earned from the sale went toward raising funds for the Dover Library.
Friends of the Dover Area Community Library hosted the sale.
“Our library is one of the smaller libraries in York county," said Lisa Byerts, president of Friends of the Dover Area Community Library. "The last two months, we were second highest in book circulation in the whole county. It’s just rewarding to see the same people time and time again or meet new people that say, 'hey, we saw this on Facebook [or] our neighbor told us about it.'”
According to the library's Facebook, the sale continues between 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Friday and between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
