Pennsylvania Ballet Academy invites community to 'Thanks for Giving' Benefit Gala

The Pennsylvania Ballet Academy's first-ever 'Thanks for Giving' Benefit Gala will help keep dance classes at the nonprofit affordable for all.

CAMP HILL, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Ballet Academy is preparing to host its first-ever holiday gala.

The 'Thanks for Giving' Benefit Gala will help keep dance classes at the nonprofit affordable for all.

"As a 501(c)3 corporation, we're a nonprofit, so we derive our funding from the generosity of our corporate sponsors and donors, our families, from our tuition," Reed Galinac, communications manager of the PBA, said. "We do fundraising activities and our twice annual performances, so all those proceeds go into supporting our programs like our scholarship program and our bALLet, which is our all inclusive dance education program for students with special needs."

Guests at the gala will have the chance to enjoy a cocktail reception, dinner, live music and performances by students at the academy, as well as live and silent auctions.

The Benefit Gala will be held at the West Shore Country Club (100 Brentwater Rd., Camp Hill) from 6 - 10 p.m. on Nov. 17. Organizers hope the event is a festive kick-off to the holiday season.

FOX43's Gabrielle Mediak will emcee the event.

Tickets for the gala are $150 and can be purchased online or by calling 717-774-747. Those who wish to support the academy but can't attend the gala can make a donation or participate in the event's silent auction, which will also accept online bids.
