HARRISBURG, Pa. — At the corner of North Fourth and Woodbine Streets in Harrisburg sit dozens of balloons, flowers, and candles.
All in memory of 19-year-old Tyemeshia Miller.
“Oh my god, I was so upset when I heard about it," said Liz Hill.
“She was loved," added Jenn Nelson. "Truly loved, blessed. She had people to love her like that.”
The mom-to-be was struck by bullets last Monday, when someone fired into a large crowd.
“When we heard it was my friend’s baby sister…it was devastating, just devastating," said Nelson.
Police are still trying to track that person, or persons, down.
“Witnesses in the community are our biggest resource and biggest ally in order for us to solve these crimes," said Lt. Kyle Gautsch of the Harrisburg Bureau of Police. "We need the community. Without them, our job is almost impossible.”
Liz Hill has lived in this neighborhood since 1986.
“It’s really terrible," said Hill. "I’m thinking about moving off this street and moving somewhere else.”
She and others say this latest shooting is hitting the community hard.
“It just seems to be so bad you’re scared to come out of your house. To even go to the store," Hill said.
“It scares you, it scares you even more," added Nelson.
Lt. Gautsch said investigators are making progress in the case but no arrests have been made so far.
