YORK COUNTY, Pa. — The drivers of the famous Oscar Mayer Weiner-Mobile get to travel all across the country, but one driver has his roots in York.
Garrison Kearse is one of Oscar Mayer's current "Hotdoggers" and grew up in York before attending Lincoln University in Chester County. He was recruited to drive the Weiner-Mobile out of college, and now travels across the East Coast, representing Oscar Mayer.
He says the smiles on the faces of those who see the giant hot dog is the best part of the job.
"People taking pictures outside windows, screaming excitement, waving, beeping at me, that's really just been fun. It's fun to just spread the job," he told FOX43.
Kearse hopes to go into sports and event media production after his time as a hotdogger ends in June.
