HARRISBURG, Pa. — A Dauphin County teen is being charged as an adult following a January home invasion robbery.
According to the Upper Allen Township Police Department, on Jan. 31 at 2 p.m., officers were dispatched to a home along the 1000 block of Lancaster Boulevard for a robbery in which the victim was assaulted and threatened with a firearm.
The two suspects involved both fled before police arrived. An investigation was immediately launched and Terrel Simmons was identified. He was arrested on March 1 in Harrisburg.
As the investigation continued, police identified Tylin Allen, 17, from Harrisburg as the second suspect. The Cumberland County District Attorney's Office approved Allen to be charged as an adult due to the nature of the offense.
An arrest warrant was obtained and Allen was arrested in Harrisburg on Aug. 20. He has been charged with robbery- inflicting bodily injury, robbery- threatening immediate serious bodily injury, robbery- taking property with force, burglary- with person present and causing bodily injury, conspiracy- robbery, conspiracy- burglary, terroristic threats, theft by unlawful taking, conspiracy- theft by unlawful taking, simple assault and conspiracy to commit simple assault.
