As of Wednesday, he has been ordered to be held without bond.

FREDERICK, Md. — A second man has been arrested in connection to a murder back in January of a Maryland man found dead in a car in Frederick County. As of Wednesday, he has been ordered to be held without bond.

On Tuesday, deputies located and arrested 23-year-old Alonzo Michael Epps, of Baltimore, for the murder of 65-year-old Brice Wendell Boots on Jan. 10 of this year. Epps is charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, first-degree murder, kidnapping, and carjacking.

Just after 1:30 p.m., on Jan. 10, deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office responded to a field off of Crum Road in Walkersville for a suspicious car. A caller reported that the car had its flashers on and had been there since early in the morning. Deputies found Boots dead inside the car.

While investigating the homicide, deputies closed Crum Road at Liberty Road to Crum Road at Stauffer Road to the public for two days.

In March, deputies arrested a 20-year-old man in connection to Boots' murder. Keon Wilson-Hawkins was taken into custody on March 12.

His murder is still actively being investigated. Anyone with more information is asked to call police at 301-600-2071.
