Man arrested for threatening bar patrons with machete, smashing windows

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — The Chambersburg Police Department arrested a man accused of causing a disturbance at a bar in Franklin County early on Thursday morning.

Officers say they were called to Legendz, located at 464 Hollywell Ave in Chambersburg, around 1 a.m. on Dec. 28 for a report of a man threatening customers at the bar with a machete. Police claim the suspect, Anyel Luis Nunez-Munoz, also shattered several windows at the bar with a large rock.

He allegedly ran away when officers arrived at the scene. Pennsylvania State Police assisted in the foot chase, and Nunez-Munoz was arrested.

He is charged with aggravated assault, criminal mischief and other charges, the CPD said.
