DILLSBURG, Pa. — A York County man is facing charges for allegedly breaking into a Dillsburg apartment and threatening a victim inside.

Austin Stambaugh, 28, of Dillsburg, is accused of climbing through the window and pointing a gun in the face of a man inside the residence around 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 26, according to an affidavit of probable cause. The Carroll Township Police Department was sent to the home around 10 a.m. to speak to those involved.

Stambaugh allegedly threatened the victim to "get out of my (expletive) house" while pointing the semi-automatic handgun at him.

The Carroll Township Police Department says they contacted the apartment manager, who said that the tenant of the apartment had removed Stambaugh from the lease weeks prior to the incident.

Police arrested Stambaugh, who was still inside the residence, without incident. According to a criminal complaint, he admitted to climbing through the window in the middle of the night and owning a handgun, but denied that he pointed it at the victim.

Police noted that this was an isolated incident and there was no threat to the public.

Stambaugh is charged with terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another and simple assault, court documents show. He is next scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 4.
