YORK, Pa. — A York County man has been accused of sexually assaulting five juvenile victims approximately 20 years ago.
Raymond Paul Lockhart Jr., 52, of York, is charged with rape of a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child less than 13, indecent assault of a child less than 13, corruption of minors and indecent exposure based on an investigation of the claims made by one of the victims, according to Northern York County Regional Police.
Two of the victims reported the allegations to authorities on March 24, according to the criminal complaint. Over the course of the investigation, police found at least three other victims, the complaint states.
One of the victims, now 28, said Lockhart sexually assaulted her numerous times when she was between the ages of 9 and 10 and lived in West York with her family, according to police.
The alleged sexual assaults occurred when the victim's mother was not present in the home, the victim reported.
The victim described numerous incidents of sexual assault and rape, ending when she was a teenager, police said.
Police filed other criminal charges against Lockhart based on the allegations of his other four victims.
In all, he faces nine felonies and five misdemeanors, according to court records.
Lockhart was arrested on April 1 and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Thomas J. Reilly, who set bail at $150,000. He was transported to York County Prison after failing to post bail.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for April 26, court records show.
