HARRISBURG, Pa. — A Harrisburg man was arrested for stabbing a victim on Friday, according to the Upper Allen Police Department.
Amgad "Andrew" Hanna, 30, is accused of stabbing a woman at a home in the first block of Gettysburg Pike just before 11:30 p.m. on June 28.
Officers say they found a woman unconscious in the driveway with a stab wound when they arrived at the scene, but Hanna had already fled. He and two other men had allegedly tried to force their way into the home, but the victim blocked the doorway with her arm and Hanna stabbed her arm.
Witnesses were able to identify Hanna as the person who stabbed the victim, according to a criminal complaint.
The Lower Paxton Township Police Department found him in Harrisburg the next day and arrested him on his outstanding warrant for the incident, officials said. Hanna was then transferred to Upper Allen custody and taken to the Cumberland County Prison.
Police say Hanna will have a preliminary hearing at a later date.
The Lower Allen Police Department, Mechanicsburg Police Department and Penn State Holy Spirit EMS also helped with this incident, the UAPD said.
