Police investigating catalytic converter thefts in western Lebanon County

Police are asking residents with security footage to look over them for help.

LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. — Three cars had their catalytic converters stolen around the Annville Township area between Monday night and Wednesday noon, Western Lebanon County Regional Police Department report.

According to police, the specific locations of the cars were parked along the 100 block of South White Oak Street, 200 block of West Sheridan Avenue and 100 block of North Cherry Street.

Catalytic converter thefts have been a problem in the United States. Pennsylvania had the third highest number of thefts in 2022 with 2,757 as reported by the National Insurance Crime Bureau.

Police are asking residents in those neighborhoods with cameras to check their security footage. Officers can be reached at 717-838-8189 or through the Lebanon County Dispatch Center, at 717-272-2054.
