CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — Police in Cumberland County are investigating a hit-and-run that left a child hospitalized.
According to the Upper Allen Township Police Department, a child riding a bicycle was struck by an unknown driver on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
The child was traveling southbound down the 300 block of Gettysburg Pike when a witness reportedly observed a dark sedan hit the back of the bicycle, which caused the child to flip over and land on the ground; the vehicle then fled the scene.
Officers stated that a gray sedan was behind the blue sedan and likely witnessed the crash.
The child sustained injuries and was taken to Hershey Medical Center for treatment.
