Cumberland County police investigating hit-and-run crash, 1 injured

Police in Carlisle are currently looking into a hit-and-run crash that ended up striking one person.

CARLISLE, Pa. — The Carlisle Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash that ended up striking one person.

On Saturday at around 7:42 p.m., the victim was crossing the intersection of West High Street and North Pitt Street, before getting hit by a maroon Nissan Quest minivan driven by a bald, white man with a beard.

The victim told officers that while he was crossing the intersection near the Hamilton Restaurant the suspect's vehicle was making a left turn from West High Street to travel northbound onto North Pitt Street.

While the suspect pulled over to the side of the street, he then drove away without providing information to the victim and fulfilling any state laws.

Anyone who may have observed this collision or has any information on the identity of the driver or vehicle is asked to contact the Carlisle Police Department.
