CHESTER COUNTY, Pa. — Editors note: The attached video is from Sept. 15.
Danilo Cavalcante, the Chester County convict who escaped from prison and led authorities on a two-week-long manhunt, is facing new charges.
Newly obtained court documents show 20 new charges against the convicted murderer, ranging from theft and burglary to trespassing.
He was previously charged with escape after he broke out of prison on Aug. 31, leading state and federal law enforcement on an intense manhunt.
Cavalcante has a preliminary hearing on the escape charge scheduled for Friday, Nov. 17.
His full list of additional charges are as follows:
- Burglary- Overnight accommodations, person present
- Two counts of criminal trespassing- entering structure
- Two counts of theft by unlawful taking- movable prop
- Three counts of receiving stolen property
- Unauthorized use of motor vehicle
- Burglary- not adapted for overnight accommodation, person present
- Possession of a prohibited firearm
