Former Marysville Borough manager to begin serving sentence for theft, other charges

PERRY COUNTY, Pa. — A former Perry County borough manager is scheduled to report to prison today.

Scott Weaver, 62, of Enola, is set to report to Perry County Prison on March 22 to begin serving his sentence on theft and other charges from 2019, prison officials confirmed this morning.

Weaver was accused of using gift cards that a Florida company provided for borough use for his personal use. 

Weaver was found guilty on charges of restricted activities - conflict of interest, restricted activities - accept improper influence, theft by unlawful taking - movable property and corrupt employee, agent, fiduciary in 2021, according to court records. 

He is sentenced to three months in prison, followed by two months of house arrest, court documents show.

He was ordered on Feb. 23 to begin serving his sentence, according to the court. Weaver petitioned the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to hear his case, and it denied the request on March 8.
