Harrisburg man convicted of multiple charges, including child rape

HARRISBURG, Pa. — A Dauphin County jury has found a man guilty of multiple charges, including rape of a child.

On March 12, 2024, Ramon Nunez, 45, was found guilty of rape by threat of forcible compulsion, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion, unlawful contact with a minor, unlawful possession of a firearm, corruption of a minor and indecent assault by threat of forcible compulsion. 

During the two-day trial, the victim described the abuse she suffered at the hands of Nunez. He committed the crimes repeatedly in 2020 by entering the victim's bedroom, laying a firearm on the television stand in the room as an act of intimidation and compulsion, then committing the sexual assaults. 

Judge Deborah E. Curcillo scheduled sentencing for June 26, 2024. 

Nunez has a pending trial in another case for involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child and related offenses. The trial is scheduled for April 15, 2024.
