Harrisburg Police searching for man charged with criminal homicide

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Harrisburg police are searching for a man accused of assaulting and leaving a man for dead on a roadway. 

According to the Harrisburg Bureau of Police, on Sunday, Sept. 3 around 2 a.m., officers responded to the area of North 6th and Radnor Streets for a report of a struck pedestrian. 

At the scene, a dead man was located on the road. 

A subsequent investigation was initiated and it was determined that the victim was assaulted and left unconscious on the road before being struck. 

Harrisburg Police have identified the attacker as Donte Pickens, 31. He is wanted for criminal homicide, theft by unlawful taking and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. 

Anyone with information on Pickens or his location has been asked to contact the Harrisburg Police at 717-558-6900. Tips and information can also be submitted here and may be eligible for a reward.
