HARRISBURG, Pa. — Update, May 29: Harrisburg Police confirmed that Tyjawan Hill was arrested on Wednesday.
Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo said Hill will be charged as an adult, noting he is five months short of his 18th birthday.
"The law requires that he be charged as an adult for such an offense," Chardo said. "I cannot predict whether the defendant will file a motion to transfer the case to juvenile proceedings. If he does, as a matter of law, he will bear the burden to establish that such is in the public interest."
Update, May 26, 10:50 a.m.: Harrisburg Police are seeking the whereabouts of Tyjawan Hill in connection to a shooting incident that left a boy injured.
Hill has been charged with criminal attempt homicide, two counts of aggravated assault and firearms offenses.

Previously: Officers responded to a report of shots fired on Saturday, May 25 around 2 p.m. in Harrisburg.
According to Harrisburg Police, when officers arrived at the 1200 block of Thompson Street in Harrisburg, a boy was found with a gunshot wound. His injuries were treated at the scene and he was transported to a local hospital. His condition is listed as critical at this time.
Harrisburg Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
