HARRISBURG, Pa. — A 16-year-old is facing a series of charges after allegedly firing a shotgun at officers.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Thursday, Nov. 2 members of the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force and members of the Dauphin County Crisis Response Team, who were all in clearly marked cars, were executing an arrest warrant at 63 N. 18th St. in the City of Harrisburg.
They were searching for Mandjou Sylla, 20, who has since been arrested and charged in the shooting of three Harrisburg children.
While approaching the reported home of Sylla, Emon Brady, 16, who was in possession of a 12-gauge shotgun, saw the officers, ran down a walking path and then fired a shot.
Four officers were close to Brady as he shot at them, but none were injured.
Brady was arrested and is facing attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm by a minor charges. He will be charged as an adult, according to a Harrisburg spokesperson.
Officers recovered a tan and black Silver Eagle 12-gauge shotgun from the scene and Brady was also allegedly in possession of shotgun shells.
