YORK, Pa. — Authorities say a months-long investigation that began with a traffic stop set into motion a series of events that led to what they describe as a "major" drug bust in York.
Police say over the last several weeks, officials followed up on leads and served search warrants.
On Friday, Oct. 27, members of the York County Drug Task Force and US Marshalls executed warrants that resulted in the seizure of approximately $8,500 in cash and 200 pounds of marijuana, which has an estimated wholesale street value of $250,000. Officers also seized several pounds of psilocybin (magic mushrooms) packaged for sale, digital scales and drug packaging, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Police say they arrested Shamir McCray, who is charged with a felony of possession with intent to deliver.
Now, he will face charges for his crime.
