LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A Lancaster County man has been arrested and is facing multiple charges including rape of a child.
According to the East Earl Township Police Department, Christopher T. Zweifel, 57, of East Earl, has been charged with rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, rape- forcible compulsion, IDSI- person less than 16 years old, IDSI- forcible compulsion, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault of a child, aggravated incident assault- forcible compulsion, aggravated indecent assault- victim less than 13 years old, incident assault- forcible compulsion, indecent assault- person less than 13 years old and corruption of minors- defendant age 18 or above.
On June 26, the East Earl Township Police Department received a report of sexual assault. It's alleged that around August 2023, Zweifel assaulted a 10-year-old victim.
He was arrested on Aug. 5 at 9:50 a.m.
Zweifel was unable to post his $250,000 bail and was committed to Lancaster County Prison.
