Argument at party leads to shooting, charges against Lancaster man

Angelo Rosario, 24, of Lancaster, allegedly shot someone after arguing outside a party, causing the victim to be hospitalized for days and require two surgeries.

LANCASTER, Pa. — A Lancaster man is facing charges for an alleged shooting that left one person hospitalized, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office.

Police say Angelo Rosario, 24, of Lancaster, and the victim went to Queen Street Bistro and then a party near the corner of Fourth Street and South West End Avenue in Lancaster Township on Feb. 21.

Around 2 a.m., the victim's friends and Rosario allegedly began arguing outside. Investigators say Rosario shot at the victim and his group several times while they were standing at their car. Police found around seven bullet holes in the car and 10 - 11 9 mm bullet casings at the scene, according to testimony.

The victim was shot and spent multiple days in the hospital, requiring two surgeries, the DA's Office said.

Prosecutors say multiple witnesses who called 911 were able to tell police that Rosario left the scene in a silver Volkswagen Jetta. When police executed a search warrant on the vehicle, they allegedly found a 9 mm pistol that was not registered to Rosario and which he is legally prohibited from possessing due to prior corruption of a minor and intimidation of witness convictions.

Rosario is charged with three counts of aggravated assault and one count each of person not to possess a firearm, receiving stolen property, carrying a firearm without a license, criminal mischief and recklessly endangering another person, the DA's Office said. He is scheduled for arraignment April 26 and remains in Lancaster County Prison on $100,000.00 bail.
