LEBANON, Pa. — Police in Lebanon have charged a suspect accused of sexually assaulting a minor.
Jose Enrique Rivas, 47, is charged with statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, and indecent assault after an investigation conducted by Lebanon City Police Det. Dory Martin, who interviewed multiple witnesses and reviewed video surveillance footage of the alleged acts.
He was arrested Wednesday in New Jersey and is awaiting extradition to Lebanon County to face the charges, authorities said.
According to police, the victim was 13 years old. She allegedly reported the sexual assault to relatives, who in turn contacted authorities.
