LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A Lititz man will face child rape and related charges in Lancaster County Court after the case was transferred to the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas following a preliminary hearing.
Walter Hernandez-Sosof, 28, has been charged with rape of a child, unlawful contact with a minor, aggravated indecent assault of someone less than 13, incest of a minor, unlawful restraint of a minor by parent, indecent assault of a person less than 13, corruption of minors, and endangering the welfare of children, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office.
First Deputy District Attorney Cody Wade presented testimony from the 10-year-old victim during the preliminary hearing about the abuse. The victim testified that Hernandez-Sosof threatened to shoot the victim and the victim's family if the victim told anyone.
The victim also testified seeing Hernandez-Sosof with a firearm before.
The victim disclosed the abuse to a family member and the Lancaster Children's Alliance in December of 2023.
Hernandez-Sosof is scheduled to be arraigned on March 22 and is free after posting $500,000 bail.
