MILLERSVILLE, Pa. — Police have arrested two people and charged another in connection to a shots-fired incident near Millersville University's campus in Lancaster County last month.
Dylan Getz, 21, of New Holland, is charged with simple assault and criminal trespass, according to Millersville University Police. Court records indicate he is being held at Lancaster County Prison after failing to post bail of $25,000.
Donavan Cruz, 20, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal trespass, terroristic threats and simple assault.
Collin Martzall has also been charged in the case, according to police.
Authorities are still attempting to identify more people who were allegedly involved in the incident, which occurred at a party on a home on the first block of North Prince Street shortly after midnight on February 24, police said.
According to police, residents of the home said they were having a party when a group of 5 to 10 men attempted to enter, refusing to leave and pushing their way inside. After several attempts to get the group to leave, one of the men started throwing punches at the residents, while another fired a handgun into the ceiling.
Police said they were able to observe a brief cell phone video of the incident that was captured and being posted to social media, which clearly showed an individual firing a handgun twice into the ceiling while falling to the ground during a brief scuffle with people at the party.
Officers did recover a spent handgun casing which was unique and confirmed that they were blank cartridges and not regular ammunition.
There was no damage to the ceiling tiles in the residence and there were no injuries to anyone at the party.
