LANCASTER, Pa. — One man was injured in a shooting in Lancaster late last night emergency dispatch said.
Officers were dispatched to the 1st block of Mulberry Street around 11:20 p.m. for a large fight and shots fired with at least one person injured, police said.
Police found a 41-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he underwent emergency surgery and is currently in critical but stable condition according to the police report.
Witnesses told police that a fight broke out during the party and one person left the scene and returned to the fight with a gun. The suspect fired the gun and struck the victim several times.
The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. Police said the suspect and victim knew each other and that this shooting was not random.
Police are investigating this incident.
