HARRISBURG, Pa. — On Saturday, around 2:30 a.m., officers were called to the 400 block of Crescent Street for reports of shots fired.
At the scene officers found a man suffering from gunshot injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.
The Dauphin County Coroner performed an autopsy, which confirmed that the victim of a fatal shooting was Daniel Maldonado, 33. He reportedly died of multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
Maldonado's manner of death was ruled a homicide.
On Monday, Jan. 29, Harrisburg Police arrested and charged Anthony Williams with the shooting. He has been charged with murder and various firearms offenses.
Witness cooperation and the amount of evidence police were able to collect at the scene have helped investigators make significant progress. Maldonado lived on Crescent Street, near where the shooting happened.
A memorial has been placed around his home.
