Police investigating Lancaster County shooting

LANCASTER, Pa. — Police in Lancaster County are investigating a shooting that sent one victim to the hospital on Saturday.

According to the Lancaster City Bureau of Police, officers were called to the intersection of South Marshall Street and New Dauphin Street in Lancaster City for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located one victim suffering from gunshot-related injuries; the victim was then transported to a local medical facility for treatment.

Detectives are actively working on the investigation, and at this point, police do not believe this was a random act nor that there is any danger to the public.
