HERSHEY, Pa. — A Harrisburg man is facing charges after being caught attempting to solicit sex from minors, the Derry Township Police Department announced.
Jeffrey Pettinato, 62, allegedly agreed to pay an undercover officer posing as a minor money for sexual acts. Police say he had been communicating with individuals whom he thought were a 12-year-old and 14-year-old girl.
Through communication with the undercover officer, Pettinato allegedly made a deal to meet up with the 14-year-old and pay money for her to perform sexual acts on him.
He was arrested on Oct. 27 and is being held without bail. He is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse-victim less than 16 years old, promote prostitution of a minor-solicit minor to patronize, obscene and other sexual materials and performances-dissemination to minors, unlawful contact with a minor-obscene and other sexual materials and a criminal use of communication facility.
