YORK, Pa. — Update: 1:20 p.m.: York City Police say the deceased person was found in the basement of a home on the 300 block of South Albemarle Street. The deceased person is a suspect accused of shooting another victim prior to the officers' arrival.

The victim of the initial shooting, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, escaped to a neighbor's home and contacted authorities, according to police. They told officers the suspect was armed and still inside the home, police say.

Police surrounded the house and observed the suspect moving inside. Officers maintained a perimeter around the home until the York County Quick Response Team (QRT) arrived.

Once QRT made entry, the known suspect was found deceased in the basement, police say.
