THURMONT, Md. — An Adams County man has been arrested on attempted murder charges following a reported road rage incident in Maryland.
Bryant Paradine, 37, from Littlestown, has been charged with attempted murder, use of a gun in the commission of a felony and other related offenses, according to Maryland State Police.
Just after 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 14, Maryland State Troopers from the Frederick Barrack responded to the area of southbound US 15 at Tippin Drive for a reported road rage incident involving shots fired.
The victim was uninjured, but troopers reportedly observed shots through the passenger compartment of their car. Additionally, a projectile was recovered from the victim's car, according to troopers.
The victim described the shooter's vehicle as a maroon Chevrolet SUV with Pennsylvania tags. A lookout was immediately provided to police in the area and troopers quickly found the car parked at a business in Thurmont, Maryland.
The suspect, later identified as Paradine, was inside the business. Troopers executed a search warrant of his car and located a loaded 9mm handgun and a spent shell casing of the same caliber.
Paradine was arrested, transported to Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack for processing and is now awaiting an initial appearance before a district court commissioner.
