Police: Suspect robbed, assaulted victim in Hersheypark parking lot

The suspect slashed a man in the face with a knife after being caught rummaging through the victim's vehicle Saturday afternoon, Derry Township Police said.

HERSHEY, Pa. — Derry Township Police are looking for help in identifying the suspect in an assault and robbery that occurred in the parking lot of Hersheypark last Saturday.

According to police, the victim and his family arrived at their vehicle around 1 p.m. to find a man rummaging through the back seat. When the victim confronted the suspect, the suspect slashed him across the face with a sharp object before fleeing with the victim's credit card.

The stolen credit card was later used to make a fraudulent purchase at a Target store in Bensalem, Bucks County, later that day, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white male with some type of skin condition on his face, similar to a burn or vitiligo. He had dark curly hair and was wearing a white long sleeved shirt, gray Under Armour sweat pants and black shoes.
