LANCASTER, Pa. — A Lancaster man will serve up to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to dealing fentanyl and cocaine in the city, prosecutors said Friday.
Jonathan Figueroa, 31, of the first block of S. Mary St., was sentenced last week to a prison term of 5½ to 12 at a hearing before Lancaster County President Judge David Ashworth, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office.
Figueroa pleaded guilty in October 2023 to possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, two counts of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana that stemmed from a December 2022 traffic stop on the 300 block of New Holland Avenue, prosecutors said.
The traffic stop initiated by the Lancaster City Bureau of Police due to a non-functioning center brake light revealed 850 bags of fentanyl that were stamped “Escobar” and totaled 22.53 grams, according to prosecutors.
Investigators additionally found crack cocaine in 22 orange capsules totaling 8.8 grams and two corner-tied bags totaling 5.7 grams, prosecutors said. The total amount of cocaine found was 14.5 grams.
Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth Rall prosecuted the case and Assistant District Attorney CJ Restemayer handled the sentencing proceeding.
Lancaster City Bureau of Police Officer Andrew Conard filed charges.
