LEBANON, Pa. — A Lebanon County couple is facing charges after authorities say they repeatedly sexually assaulted three minor children for almost 17 years, District Attorney Pier Hess Graf said in a press release.
In early October, Graf said, Lebanon City Police charged Christopher Longo with rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, endangering the welfare of children, and multiple other counts.
His wife, Kelly Longo, is charged with endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors, and criminal conspiracy, according to Graf.
The victims allegedly told Kelly Longo they were being sexually abused, but she allegedly claimed they were lying and refused to contact authorities, Graf said.
She also is accused of participating in the sexual assaults committed on one of the victims, according to Graf.
Authorities began investigating when they received a report from staff at a middle school attended by one of the victims. The victim, a teenage girl, claimed Christopher Longo had been sexually abusing her since she was 5 years old. He would allegedly force her to watch pornography, engage in sex, and touch her the victim reported.
A second victim, now an adult, said Christopher Longo raped and sexually abused her from the ages of 5-to-18. She also accused Kelly Longo of participating in the sexual assaults, authorities said.
A third minor victim claimed Christopher Longo had been sexually assaulting her since she was 12, according to police.
All three victims claimed Kelly Longo was aware of the sexual abuse but did nothing to prevent it. She also refused to report it to authorities, Graf said in the press release.
"Christopher Longo raped, molested and abused three minor children...for nearly two decades," Graf said. "These defendants will be held fully accountable for their depraved actions."
Graf said authorities believe there may be other victims. Anyone with information about potential additional victims is asked to contact the Lebanon County Detective Bureau or the Lebanon City Police Department.
Christopher and Kelly Longo are both being held in Lebanon County Prison, where the await preliminary hearings.
