Police: Multiple weapons fired in shooting that injured child in Lancaster

Police say over 10 rounds were fired from multiple weapons, and at least one child was injured.

LANCASTER, Pa. — The Manheim Township Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one child injured yesterday.

Officers say they received multiple 911 calls about gunshots near the 800 block of Sterling Place around 5:24 p.m. on Oct. 30. Investigation suggests that over 10 rounds were fired from multiple weapons, but police are unsure exactly how many.

Authorities say one child was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound; police did not share information on their condition.

Responding officers were able to interview witnesses and collect evidence including spent shell casings.
