FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. — Two people have been arrested and charged for a series of thefts from cars parked at Chambersburg Hospital.
According to the Chambersburg Police Department, on Nov. 19, officers were dispatched to the hospital located at 112 N. Seventh St. for thefts from cars. Several parked cars had been entered and items were stolen, according to police.
Hospital security was able to review the video surveillance system and spotted a man and woman walking through the parking lots, attempting to enter multiple vehicles.
The suspects were captured entering the hospital in a vehicle, which was tracked down by police.
Billie Joe Treadway, 37, and Amy S. Lynch, 45, were arrested by troopers from the McConnellsburg Barracks. They have both been charged with three counts of theft by unlawful taking.
Police say one of the victims reported that Treadway and Lynch had stolen a laptop worth $2,500 and $7,000-$8,000 worth of Yu-Gi-Oh! trading cards, which made the offense a third degree felony.
At this time, both are at Franklin County Jail, according to the Chambersburg Police Department.
