DOVER, Pa. — A York County man is facing charges after an acquaintance claimed he raped her at his home in February.
According to a criminal complaint, the victim told police that Jonah Grim, 19, of Dover Township, picked her up at her home on Feb. 10 and brought her back to his place. Grim, the victim and a third person were hanging out there when the victim alleges Grim began to touch her, which made her uncomfortable. The victim told Grim to stop and he did, a criminal complaint states.
The victim says she attempted to go to sleep when the third person left Grim's to go to work, but she was woken up by Grim getting on top of her. She allegedly told him to get off of her, but he covered her mouth, moved her shorts aside and assaulted her, according to a criminal complaint.
DNA testing of semen left in the shorts the victim was wearing matched a sample of Grim's DNA that was obtained by search warrant, according to a police report.
Grim claimed in an interview with police that he had never had sexual relations with the victim.
The victim allegedly said she had met Grim through a mutual friend a handful of times before the incident.
He was arrested on Nov. 9 and faces charges of rape - forcible compulsion, sexual assault, indecent assault forcible compulsion and indecent assault without consent of other. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 22.
