York County man arrested for alleged inappropriate conduct with child

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — A York County man is facing charges after being accused of inappropriate conduct with a child.

Preston Bruce Lyons Jr., 42, of Hopewell Township, allegedly touched his genitals against a child's and made the victim touch his genitals.

The victim's mother reported the incidents to troopers on Dec. 28, 2023, the Pennsylvania State Police said.

In a phone call that was consensually intercepted the next day, Lyons Jr. admitted to at least one of these incidents, according to a criminal complaint.

Lyons Jr. is charged with indecent assault person less than 13 years of age (felony), corruption of minors - defendant age 18 or above, indecent exposure, indecent assault person less than 13 years of age (misdemeanor) and corruption of minors - defendant age 18 or above.

He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 19, court documents show.
