Police are looking for witnesses to shooting at Rutter's store in Spring Grove

SPRING GROVE, Pa. — Police in York County are investigating a shooting that occurred in the overnight hours of Feb. 3 at a Rutter's store in Spring Grove.

The shooting occurred at 12:34 a.m. at the convenience store located on North Main St. in the borough, according to York County Regional Police.

One person was injured, police said.

Police have identified a suspect in the incident: 26-year-old Jay Garcia of York, who remains at large. Garcia's last known address was the 1100 block of Poplar Street, but he has ties to the Bronx, New York. 

Garcia is 5 feet, 2 inches tall and 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, according to police. 

Police say Garcia is considered to be armed and dangerous. 

"If you witnessed the incident or have any information about it, please contact YCRPD Det. Wilson, 717-741-1259 Ext. 117," the police department said. "You may also leave a tip on our website. (Tipsters) may remain anonymous."
