LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — October is Fire Prevention Month.
As temperatures drop, and we head into the holiday season, Lincoln Fire Company of Ephrata is hosting a fire safety program today for homeschooled children in northern Lancaster County.
This month, they’ve also provided the fire safety program to several children within the public school system.
The program focuses on smoke detectors, cooking/kitchen safety, escape planning and a fire extinguisher demonstration.
This year’s theme is “Smoke Detectors: Make Them Work For You.”
Today’s program will be at 2 p.m. at the station and again at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
If you are interested in attending the free program, RSVP to 717-466-9050.
