HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) will hold a series of free events to guide college-bound students and their families in navigating the 2024-25 FAFSA application.
Filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the first step to determine if a student qualifies for a Federal Pell Grant, Pa. State Grant, scholarships, institutional awards and federal student loans.
All students and contributors (such as parents or spouses) must establish their Federal Student Aid Accounts (FSA ID) here at least four days before attending the online events.
The planned webinars are as follows:
• Webinar: Understanding and Comparing Financial Aid Offers
The PHEAA Access Partners will present information on the steps students should take after completing the FAFSA. They will discuss the financial aid process, strategies to review and understand financial aid offers from colleges, and how to compare different types of aid.
Wednesday, March 20 – 6 p.m.
• FAFSA Overview Hosted by Representative Liz Hanbridge
Representative Liz Hanbidge is pleased to invite parents and students to this overview of the 2024–25 FAFSA process. This event will feature a special guest from PHEAA. The webinar will guide students and families through a step-by-step process of filing the FAFSA and PA State Grant application beginning with the 2024-25 academic year. The webinar is open to all ages and grades.

• FAFSA Overview Line-by-Line
The PHEAA Access Partners will present an overview of the 2024-25 FAFSA process to guide students and families through a step-by-step process of filing the FAFSA.
Tuesday, April 9 – 6:00 p.m.
• Virtual FAFSA Completion Session
The PHEAA Access Partners will be available in breakout rooms via Teams to provide personal assistance to families in completing their FAFSA.
