YORK, Pa. —

Getting poor sleep can affect your brain later in life

New research suggests poor sleep may lead to poor brain health later on in life.

A study published in the Online Journal Neurology analyzed nearly 600 participants for 15 years. Researchers found those who had two or three unhealthy sleep characteristics had an average brain age that was about a year and a half older than those with no poor sleep habits in late middle age.

Researchers say accelerated brain aging can lead to an increased risk of neurodegenerative diseases like dementia.

Flesh eating bacteria on the rise in Florida after hurricanes

Authorities say this happens because when the extra flood water recedes, it leaves bacteria everywhere--in people's clothes, on carpets, even on the walls.

To stay safe, the Florida Department of Health recommends people avoid swimming or wading in flood waters.

Of the 150 to 200 cases reported to the CDC every year, about one in five people die from the infection, typically within one or two days of getting sick.

Walmart to deliver prescriptions directly to customers

Walmart says it will expand prescription deliveries into one streamlined single order that can be brought to you with your other purchases in as little as 30 minutes.

By the end of January, Walmart expects to have the service available in 49 states for both new prescriptions and medication refills, with some exceptions.

Customers will be able to schedule pharmacy delivery for a time that fits their schedule. And coming soon, Walmart plans to offer express delivery in as little as 30 minutes. Walmart says it will be free for Walmart+ members or $9.99 for non-members.
