HARRISBURG, Pa. — The National Civil War Museum has two events that will take history lovers back in time coming up this weekend.
On Friday, members and non-members are invited to enjoy a blend of education and entertainment at Cocktails & Cannonballs. Guests will be able to stroll the galleries with living historians, sample regional cuisine and Civil War themed cocktails, explore replicas of soldier camps and enter to win a chance to fire a cannon at the end of the night.
There will also be a silent auction and more entertainment.
Cocktails & Cannonballs will be held from 6 - 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 20. Tickets can be purchased online.
On Saturday, visitors can take a journey through the American Civil War era at Civil War Saturday. Reenactors will portray life back in the day, living historians will offer museum tours and attendees can interact with a variety of activities and exhibits.
Civil War Saturday is on Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $10 per adult; children under 18 and members of the museum get in free.
The National Civil War Museum is located at One Lincoln Circle at Reservoir Park in Harrisburg.
