ELYSBURG, Pa. β It's spooky season at Knoebels Amusement Resort, and employees at the park near Elysburg are busy decorating for Halloween.
Hallo-Fun starts Friday. It's a four-week-long fall festival.
Knoebels Amusement Resort is known for its food, rides and atmosphere. During the month of October, the park near Elysburg puts a spooky twist on all of that. It's time for Hallo-Fun and this year it's bigger than ever.
"We have historically operated the majority of the park but this year we are opening more of the kiddie area so we will have 50+ rides," Stacy Yutko said.
Riding the train is a much different experience during Hallo-Fun. The ride is decorated for Halloween. When it comes to food, there are tons of tasty treats. Knoebels has a special menu for the fall season.
"Some of the things are pumpkin funnel cakes, apple cider, we've got deep fried spider webs, a variety of fun treats," Ethan Knoebel said.
There's lots of free entertainment. The Fright Show features dancers from all over the east coast.
"Every weekend in October, all of the shows. Friday we have two shows, on Saturday we have four and on Sunday we also have two shows," Reggie Oliver said.
Choreographer Reggie Oliver even taught me a few moves!
There is also plenty to do for the little ones. Kids can color a tote bag, paint a pumpkin and decorate a cookie.
"Saturdays from 11-1 we have morning activities here across from the Phoenix, our world famous roller coaster and then on Sundays we are here from 10-12," Lynn Maynard said.
Hallo-Fun starts tomorrow and is every weekend in October.
